Canadian Step-Dancing is otherwise known as “Maritimes Step-Dancing”
You will learn several styles including, PEI, Cape Breton and Ottawa Valley. Step-Dancing is fast, fun and rythmical and anybody can learn it! No previous dance experience required – steps are broken down slowly and students learn technique before increasing speed. Class is great for any age and any fitness level. Let the great Fiddle Tunes sweep you off your feet. (Minimum 6 per class) We do start totally from scratch at a slow pace but the speed will increase over the weeks.
It is recommended that participants don’t have any knee or back problems. There is a certain amount of impact required to Step Dance so it is important students be aware of this.
