Canadian Step-Dancing is otherwise known as “Maritimes Step-Dancing”
You will learn several styles including, PEI, Cape Breton and Ottawa Valley. Step-Dancing is fast, fun and rythmical and anybody can learn it! No previous dance experience required – steps are broken down slowly and students learn technique before increasing speed. Class is great for any age and any fitness level. Let the great Fiddle Tunes sweep you off your feet.
Beginner Canadian Step – **PLEASE NOTE: This will be a continuation from Sept 2019 so this class will have had 22 weeks experience. We move forward and don’t start from “scratch” in April.
Intermediate – This class is appropriate for those students who have had previous Step Dance, Tap Dance or other dance experience and can pick up material already taught. This class will have performance opportunities.
Advanced – Previous Step Dance or Irish Dance experience is a must. This class will have performance opportunities.
Instructor: Paula Bickford
What to wear: Tap Shoes are worn in this class but new beginners can start with runners and discuss shoes with instructor. Comfortable workout clothes and water is all that is required.
